I can't believe how long it has been since I blogged...I think I was having blogger's block :) So many exciting things are happening in the world of Fancy Nancy-I don't even know where to begin! The number one most important thing to share is that I AM ECSTATIC! For those of you who know me, you know that this happens quite often-most often for small, inconsequential reasons-like, they have my favorite flavor ice cream or Sophie made her bed or Milk Duds are $1 at Kroger. But this time the ecstatic state is lasting over a period of days and weeks! I am so happy to be doing what I am doing...this is the job I should have been doing all of my life! I'm happy, but more importantly my clients are happy, confident, organized and the owners of efficient and fabulous wardrobes. This fills my heart in a way that is usually reserved for the people around my Thanksgiving table.
It was all so clear to me today as I got ready to leave my house this morning. I looked so damn cute (I've got an image to uphold now), but of course, better than that, I felt on top of the world! It was like ice cream, made beds and Milk Duds all rolled in to one! I felt like I could accomplish anything and this is how my clients feel. It's amazing the impact that looking good on the outside can have on the inside!

Vegas Baby!
Just spent some time in the desert last week and I must write about it. What's with all of the bling?? I have never seen so much shiny, glitzy, over-blingified clothing in my life! I'm all for a little sparkle every now and then, but this was ridiculous. Maybe it is the lack of water that makes people thirst for this excess-maybe it's the false perception of wealth that one gets after a good run on a blackjack table. Whatever the case, it made it difficult for me to shop with any accuracy as the sequins were constantly blinding my vision. Luckily, I was able to make it out with 2 shirts from one of my favorite stores. One was an updated version of a drapey, buttonless cardigan that I look forward to wearing with a white tank top and the aforementioned boyfriend jeans. The other is a long blouse with VERTICAL stripes (not horizontal please, unless you just got back from an exhausting week modeling the fall 2010 lines at Bryant Park) and pockets that will look great with jeans and leggings, belted or not. Speaking of the boyfriend jeans....I just got a new pair and you won't believe where....TARGET (Tar-jhay)! They are ridiculously cute and cost all of $40-I know, kind of expensive for Target :)
Also wanted to tell you about some fabbie shoes I tried on at Nordstrom in Vegas. They are called Woodies by Jeffrey Campbell and they were cute as hell, but so high that I simply could not walk in them. For some of you who have more stable ankles than I, these may work. They also broke my cardinal rule of fashion- "Can I wear them to Kroger?" Yet I wanted to tell you about them because they are totally awesome and would be a lovely addition to the spring/summer wardrobe of the fashionable and stable-ankled amongst you.
